Advanced

To begin a search select a field from the drop down selections and then enter the text you want to search for. For example, if you want all titles with the word 'surgery' in them, select Title Search then type 'surgery' into the search box and press the search button, or to search for anything related to 'surgery', including items with a similar root word, type 'surg*' into the search box and press the search button.

Examples:
Field Request: Possible Results
Author Search: Bern* Bernard, Berne, Bernstein
Title Search: surg* surgery, surgeries, surgeon, surgeons
Subject Search: hyper* hypertriglyceridemia, hypertension

Select the full view of a record by clicking on the title from the search retrieval list. You may then find related records by clicking on a specific Find All link. Note: be aware that these links will retrieve only records in the same template ie. Journals, Books, or Media. To search all templates collectively select Catalog, which is the recommended method of searching. The system will always indicate which template you are searching in, and the drop down field search menu selections for the individual templates ie. Journals, Books, or Media will always be followed by a series of dots.
